The shape of my belonging, at the intersection of memory and place, grounds my work. Growing up, I transitioned between the openness of California suburbia to the condensed urbanity of Taipei. With stark environmental shifts, my sense of identity began reshaping from youthful idealism to a heavier sense of conflicting realism. In my works, I seek to capture both the innocence and vibrancy of youth and the foreboding weight of built environments, where movement, congestion, and fractured perspectives mirror my complexity of selfhood.

Ultimately, my practice is anchored in an exploration of my sense of belonging. Through vibrant colors, auspicious symbols, and surreal juxtapositions, I am on a journey searching for the balance between individual memory and collective tradition, between places that have shaped me and the roots that remind me who I am.
